I started out making a mug rug, but the squirrel got too fat so it ended up to be a snack mat. I ended up with a mat that measures 8" x 12". I don't know if this would work better as a trivet being this size. I actually like it as a trivet and maybe I'll put insul-brite in the next one and actually make a trivet.
